sigh, it saddened me to see the discussion between artist and critique here. As a student of art and also metaphysics I consider point of view subjective and, with all things considered, psychedelic surrealism, in non substance induced states of awareness, to be quite demonstrative of the world around us that we choose not to see. There are millions of symbols and stories that have been given to us by our ancient ancestors that have made it very clear that we have always had a second sight. Even the most innovative of sciences are achieved in moments of heightened awareness when in a moment of "divine intervention" or "the flash of the light bulb". It is then that we are challenged to unveil our new revelations. Spiritual or practical, all minds work in a generalized manner and the fact of the matter is inspiration just comes. "Cliche" happens to folks with specific motivation. If the purpose of your art is to sell you, then I would imagine "cliche" would come with a bit of a sting. But who am I?

Here, I see a spiraling tunnel, but I don't know if I am looking out or in.
