'The temple of Lemminkäinen' - is work in progress name of our next theatrical fire circus.

I'm working on concept art, design and script. The premiere will be in fall of 2010. The small that I can reveal at this point, is that it will be our version of Kalevala hero Lemminkäinen's journey in Tuonela. But the story and visuals will be streching also to nordic myths other than Kalevala.

The second on going project of mine is a 'Grimoire' which is a kind psychedelic alchemical picturebook using techniques mixing traditional and digital work. The intention was to make it a comicbook, but atleast now seems to be taking very different form. I hope to show some images from it to you here soon.

9th september 2009 fire theater Flamma presents

Lightning Ukko struck in darkness is a blend of ancient Finnish myth. Beginning with a poem of the birth of fire, the story is Flamma's version of the anti-hero Kullervo and the mythical Sampo. Hypnotic flames will lead our tribal consciousness to a time where fire, iron and shamanism ruled the lives of our forefathers. The fantasy show set in the nationally prized surroundings of Pyynikki is the first part of trilogy based on the spirit of Kalevala.

Among others I have been and will be busy with: script, visual design, set design, mask/prop design, fire and pyro toy design and this time it seems that I will have acting/performance role as squire of the Northern warriors.
