Work in progress, still has a few things to do, but I thought it
deserves to be photographed. As those fun 'acid' pink/yellow tones
may disappear when I apply more layers.
Welcome, o' shores of sanity by ~jlof has an amazing range of colors that will please your eyes. The details and overall surrealism of this piece will keep you scrolling up and down for a while, just admiring the details. (
this is intense, i have been thinking about it repeatedly for the weeks since it was a daily dev and wanting to visit and say something profoundly wonderful that you will hold dear, because art like this is something i hold dear and in return you deserve that much. but i am humbled. x
I think it has symbolism of altered to states of trance, dreams and shamanistic extatacy. In the bottom is the boiling sea chaos. Human, animal, god and alien figures are forming on the shore. Chaos can be a scary insane place, but it's rich of ideas. In the middle, the woman could be the one experiencing all this. In state of emotion. I think in spirit artist is more femine than masculine. The ability of giving birth is defintely a femine property. (woman on the shore, is the artists mind pregnated by chaos)... But there is so many symbols in this picture and I could spend hours explaining them verbally, you just have to watch it. It's all said in the picture - and more.
Hmmm.... this really reminds me of a late-gothic Flemish painting, though the artist's name escapes me. Very very nice, I'm sure you're swamped with comments, so i won't pester much. Defiantely a great work, though.
Great great work.. Love the kind of abstract composition where we can see some people/animal parts, expressions.. Everything is perfect, from the tones to the technique.. Really a must.. You could make a series of this.. AND PLEASE DONT TOUCH IT ANYMORE! its perfect the way it is.. Sometimes artists have the complex that their works arent finished, and are always willing to add some unecessary stuff.. obviously a keep up..
Breathtaking in an unimaginable way. This is something I would never, woa. Not sure where that thought was going. This is great...love what someone said..it resembling a plume of smoke rising......indeed it does. I may have to go check out more of your pieces. I've got another Fav
