Whatever the meaning behind this piece is, this certainly a breathtaking artwork. There are probably so many meanings in it I can't think of them all!

I am the dark midas...
Fear me for I am the death of threads and interesting conversations.
I am the small god of the uncomfortable silence.

This feels like a vision of calmness, childhood purity, and some harsh wisdom. Just my guess. I love the greens. It speaks of the earth to me... that we should take care of our resources that we can continue to grow.

(so much going on my idea of it's meaning could change tomorrow when my eye catches other parts of your painting)

Love the meanings you found in it.

Everything changes, but one moment in time, the now where everything is, is eternal.

I think this is really quite New Zealand Maori-type art..

although I'm sure you didn't intend it that way, it had that feel to me

An atua is the spirit of an ancestor in Polynesia, who is revered like a god. The family gods are also atua. They are not worshipped like gods, but they do receive veneration. They can fly and they live in trees, like birds. Atua are sometimes referred to as Nuku-mai-Tore, the "People of the Other World"

-Encyclopedia Mythica-

You are right. Tho I didn't know Maori art and mythology before... ancestor spirits is what I see... so...
Atua Nuku-mai-Tore :)

I can't make much out of the imagery, but the colors and textures are wonderful. To me the piece feels like it's full of both despair and hope. Something about it also reminds me of Indians, not sure why.
